March Monthly Meeting – Tuesday, March 2nd at 6:30 pm, at the Sixth Floor Museum. Join us for our monthly meeting as we learn about the history of Dallas and discover the world around us through respected Dallas Historian Rose-Mary Rumbley.

Rosemary Rumbley could be described as a Renaissance Woman: humorist, teacher, actress, historian, journalist, author… and she holds a PH.D. in communications from the University of North Texas. She has written three books on her native city–Dallas, Texas. She has written a cookbook, “WHAT! NO CHILI!” and a book about the 300th anniversary of the invention of the piano. She has appeared on the stage at the Dallas Summer Musicals and at Casa Mañana in Ft. Worth. Rose-Mary was head of the drama department at Dallas Baptist University for 12 years and served on the staff at First Baptist Church, Dallas, for 7 years. Today, she is on the speaking circuit and enjoys researching each and every topic.

We will be holding our meeting at the world famous Sixth Floor museum. Since 1989, The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza has welcomed more than 6 million visitors from around the world—people of all ages seeking information and understanding about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963.

The Museum is housed on the sixth and seventh floors of the former Texas School Book Depository, known today as the Dallas County Administration Building. The address is 411 Elm at Houston streets, in the West End Historic District of downtown Dallas.

Visitor parking is conveniently located adjacent to the Museum; the cost is $5 daily. Parking for large vehicles such as RVs and buses may be found on Houston Street, two blocks north of the Museum.
