Genesis Benefit Store Service Event

Genesis Women’s Shelter was founded in 1985 and has helped thousands of Dallas-area women since then by providing shelter to battered and abused women and their children, offering group and individual counseling services to abused women, and educating the community about domestic violence.  The shelter also has a Benefits Store where women can shop while they stay at the shelter or when they are transitioning to their own home after leaving the shelter.  The DJCC will volunteer at the Genesis Benefit Store on June 6, 2009.  Our group will be helping to sort and price donations and move and display merchandise.  You can volunteer from 11am to 2pm or from 2pm to 5pm.  The store is located at 3419 Knight Street Dallas, TX  75219.  (The intersection is Knight Street and Lemmon Avenue.)  If you have questions or would like to volunteer, please contact Kristal at service@djcc.us.
